March 2009 News and Information

Hi to all.

It’s been a few months since we last sent out a Newsletter. Hope everyone had a good Christmas.

Just a few items of interest which we have noticed since our last issue.  On our website we have information for self funded retirees, have a look at the article re Reduction to Minium Draw-downs. There is a calculation tool in regards to the $900 Tax Bonus. We are always placing new articles here under the "Latest News" section listed on the left of the page.

Other interesting items specifically are from M & K Lawyers, regrading the Main Residence Exemption and how the ATO lost a case involving Investments in Agribusiness. From the ATO on the Education Tax Refund and Fuel Credit rates for 2009. We also include an article listing the 10 riskiest industries from James Thompson of Smart Company.

Enjoy the read, please contact us in regard to any matters of interest or concern.
