September 2009

Hi to all,

Its that time for our newsletter so we thought we would start off with a bit of house cleaning.

Business: Working Capital

Businesses, more than ever are approaching lower sales and static expenses, which is increasing the need for working capital.

There are many ways working capital can be obtained;

  • Debtor Finance
  • Factoring
  • Overdraft
  • Commercial Loan Working Capital
  • Sale and Leaseback
  • Equipment Leasing

There are still lenders lending for these purposes; however the requirements that form part of the application process are quite specific;

  1. A business plan - specifically detailing what the money will be used for and the impact of that money both in expenses and income
  2. Cash Flow forecasts - with assumptions
  3. A Marketing Plan - how will the business reposition itself with the use of this money for more income opportunities
  4. Detailed Financials Notes - must detail changes the business has made to reduce expenses or what it plans to do in a worst case scenario.

These are generally required in addition to the standard information that would normally be supplied with an application.

If we can be of any assistance at all we would be glad to help.
